Peter and I started Saloom Furniture in 1982 with a mission to make great furniture, create quality jobs, and be a positive influence in our community. Our table tops are made using the highest grade of solid maple and cherry hardwoods. We apply a high performance catalyzed conversion varnish top coat to all of our furniture, this provides moisture control and water and chemical resistance. Expert finishers hand apply our deluxe multi-step finishes. Solid brass leaf pins on table leaves insure precise alignment of table halves and leaf. Leaf gap covers give a clean appearance with no empty gaps in the table apron. Most tables will self store one leaf underneath the table top. Chair frames feature mortice and tenon joint construction with locking grooved corner blocks, for super strong long lasting joints. “Soflex” upholstered seats are made with high quality webbing and high density foam, for a cushion that is both comfortable and durable. 1 Year Limited Warranty: Effective May 1, 2005 Saloom Furniture Co. Inc. offers a limited warranty to the original purchaser for one year from the date of invoice against manufacturer’s defects. We warrant our furniture products to be free from defects in construction and workmanship under normal household and consumer use. If a defect is found during the warranty period, Saloom Furniture Co. Inc. will exchange, repair or replace the defective products. Saloom Furniture Co. Inc. has sole discretion to determine which method will be used to correct defects. Repairs or replacements shall only be made by an authorized Saloom Furniture Co. Inc. dealer. Before warranty service will be rendered, the Purchaser must submit a purchase receipt or other proof of the date of purchase. Shipping and handling charges for return to the factory must be prepaid by the Purchaser with return shipment/freight paid by Saloom Furniture Co. Inc. Reimbursement for repairs made locally must be approved by Saloom Furniture Co. Inc. in writing in advance. This limited warranty excludes damages resulting from neglect, damage caused by accidental or intentional acts, institutional or commercial use, exposure to extreme or abnormal heat, cold, dryness, moisture or humidity, unauthorized repair or alteration, and misuse or abuse of the products. Saloom Furniture Co. Inc. will not cover damage that results from normal wear and tear or accidents including scratches, burns, water marks or indentations. This warranty also does not cover damage that occurs in shipment to the Purchaser as a result of the mishandling of the products by independent common carriers.

Each piece of wood is unique and therefore, variation of color and grain can occur form piece to piece.

All furniture is built in environmentally controlled conditions. Humidity and temperature are highly regulated in our factories. However, wood will expand and contract with changes in temperature and humidity and Saloom Furniture Co. Inc. will not replace a table that has a slight gap either in the center or at the ends where the two table halves meet. This is normal movement and will change with changing conditions/seasons. Care must be taken to control the temperature and humidity in the area where the furniture is placed. Checking or splitting of natural wood products along a "wood grain line" is a condition which may or may not occur in these wood products and is usually the result of excessive dryness of the wood, and therefore, this condition is expressly excluded from the terms and conditions of this limited warranty.

You have the option to pickup furniture from our store. Please see the Contact Us section for direction and call one hour ahead at 858.578.5881 to ensure your items will be ready for pickup.

We have strong relationships with some of the best delivery companies. If you are outside of San Diego area, we will ship your order using the fastest, safest, and most reliable method possible with the common carriers. Every product on our website has been carefully selected to ship by a particular shipping method in order to provide you with the most reliable and most efficient delivery experience. When your order is picked up by the shipping company, we will notify you via email the tracking number for your shipment. You can track your package online or over the phone with the shipping company. Most companies can provide an estimated delivery date. We ship items with different carriers based on the size of the furniture and the special services you requested.

Small Item - Whenever possible we will ship smaller, lighter items via UPS, FEDEX or USPS. These companies provide the fastest and most reliable method of shipping available for many items we sell. Depending on how far you are from our distribution center, your furniture will arrive between 1 and 10 business days after it leaves our distribution center. We require an adult's signature for deliveries. Please note that the decision to leave your package without a signature is at the discretion of the delivery person. If you want an item left at your doorstep, the best thing to do is leave a note on your door asking the driver to leave your package with "No Signature Required." Be sure to include your name and tracking number on the note.

Truck Delivery - Many items on our website are too large and/or heavy to ship via UPS/FedEx/USPS. Truck Delivery is different than standard UPS, FedEx, or US Mail. Once your furniture arrives at the carrier's destination location, the carrier will call you to set up a delivery appointment. Most truck delivery companies offer 4 hours appointment windows. The items will be delivered to the driveway or curb outside of the delivery address provided when you placed the order. It is the customer's responsibility to transport the items inside your home, however several truck companies offer additional services to help move the items into your house with additional charge. We do not offer this service at this time. When the freight company picks up the items from our distribution center, we will email you the tracking information and you can contact the shipping company directly to inquire about additional shipping services. In this event, it is your responsibility to directly pay the truck delivery carrier for any additional services. Please make sure that you inspect the packages at the time of delivery. If the product is damaged, please write, "Product Damaged" clearly on the sheet the delivery agent asks you to sign. This simply insures that if there is any damage, it will be easy to take care of the problem, and your order will be fulfilled as soon as possible.

We are offering free delivery with a purchase of $1000 or more. Note, this is NOT white glove, and not in the home. NOTE also, you will NOT see all products online, THOSE ITEMS NOT ON SITE "NO FREE DELIVERY". So for example, NO WALL BEDS ONLINE, THUS NO FREE DELIVERY, AND NOTE FREE DELIVERY DOES NOT INCLUDE SETUP.
